Our gravel lot will be closed on Wednesday, April 2 and Thursday, April 3. Please park in the paved lot in front of the pottery. Street parking is also available on Cadillac Blvd. and Hurlbut St.

Welcome to pewabic

Founded in 1903, Pewabic is one of the oldest continually operating potteries in the country. Working out of our National Historic Landmark studio on Detroit's east side, we preserve a tradition of craftsmanship that has enriched lives for generations.

Pewabic today is an active working pottery, architectural tile studio, ceramic arts education center, and vibrant cultural destination that attracts visitors from around the world.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we continue to be guided by a singular mission: to enrich the human spirit through clay.

Pewabic has been crafting ceramic work in Detroit for over a century. Visit the store to shop handcrafted tiles and pottery along with the work of over 30 independent ceramic artists.

Tuesday - Saturday: 10am - 5pm

Sundays: 11am - 4pm

CLOSED: Mondays

Special Hours:

CLOSED: April 20 on Easter Sunday
